 Welcome to Springwoods Elementary School!

Springwoods opened in 1985 due to the growth of the Lake Ridge community and it was named for the area it serves, which is the Springwoods area of Lake Ridge.

Springwoods Elementary School has been designated by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Fully Accredited school and is also a PWC School of Excellence for years 2001 – 2007.

Springwoods was named a 2008 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School and received the Virginia Index of Performance Award in 2008. We are one of only six schools in the state of Virginia to receive this honor!
