Welcome to Springwoods Elementary School!
Math Night
Springwoods Families! Don't forget that Math Night is on Thursday, October 23rd from 6:30-7:30 p.m. It is open house style, so come for as long or little as you are able. Learn math games to play at home for a fun way to practice important math skills.

Kindness Challenge
Please help Springwoods in their quest to be named the Kindest School in the Nation.  By Friday, Oct. 24th, we are on a quest to commit and document 6000 acts of kindness and collect 1200 pairs of gently used jeans.  These jeans will be given to the needy of PWC and Washington DC.  Please email Mrs. Cerrone if you witness an unrequested act of kindness from your child. Celebrate Kindness!

***  ONLY 7 more days left of our Kindness Challenge:  We have collected 299 pairs of gently used jeans.  We need 901 more pairs to reach our goal.  Can you help us?  We have 514 documented acts of kindness.  We need 5, 486 more!  If every student in the school did 2 kind acts and documented them we would well surpass our goal!    ***
October's Reading Challenge
It's that time of year: reading challenge time! For our first challenge, the students need to read 310,000 minutes. If the students reach their goal, Mr. Burton has agreed to kiss a pig!

We will be announcing weekly status updates towards the goal. Mrs. Palumbo has also set up a bulletin board to track the minutes. It's located on the board in the 4th grade hall. Check it out!

Good luck and remember to read, read, read!!
